Twin Lakes recognizes top student athletes at year-end banquet

Twin Lakes Secondary School celebrated the athletic achievements of their student athletes at the annual Athletic Banquet Thursday.

The school's Athletic Council honoured athletes with a sports year in review slideshow, the hospitality program provided snacks and coaches delivered heart-felt speeches and award presentations.

Paige Baxter and Gracie Yakeley were named co-winners of the Twin Lakes female athlete of the year award.

Erik Vurma and Nathaniel Sneyd were named co-winners of the school's male athlete of the year award.

Kieran Kerr was recognized as the junior male athlete of the year, while Anna Vurma earned the junior female athlete of the year.

Gracie Yakeley earned the Randy Kitchen Award of Excellence for her work with the school's athletic council.

Sydney Stones won the Coaches Award and Wesley Ormsby was named the school's Athletic Scholar.

Coaches offer congratulations to all award recipients and athletes at Twin Lakes.
